Hi guys! So I stopped into Walgreens yesterday and saw that SinfulColors are on sale for 99 Cents through July 28th. Not only are these polishes half off, but there were TONS of displays! I was in heaven! So after looking around for a while and checking the consistency of a few polishes, I decided to grab Savage, a teal polish that leans more blue than green and has a nice thick consistency leading me to believe it might be a one coater. Lo and behold, I get home and try it on AND IT'S A MATTE! Not only a matte...but the best freakin Matte I've ever used! The formula of this polish is amazing, dry time is like lightening and the color....don't even get me started! You can tell by the amount of exclamation points, that I'm loving this color!
Okay so here are the pics...I can't believe I've made you wait this long to see her! This is two coats, and pictures were taken outside in late afternoon sun.
So after putting on Savage and staring at my nails intermittently throughout the rest of the evening, she must have seeped into my brain because the first shirt I reached for this morning was going to make me match! This is a see-through top that is a gradient of green to blue and it looked AWESOME with this polish!
I've seen other reviews of Savage online and most said that it was a semi-matte, but mine is super matte so they might have changed the formula at some point. I'm happy that I did actually get the super matte because this is already my favorite polish I've gotten in a long time....and did I mention it was 99 cents? So of course I had to stop by Walgreens today after work and get another bottle. hahaha

DeleteThis polish is truly great. I wish the bottles were marked to let us know that it's a matte though, I was searching through the displays for similar thickness hoping to find another matte hidden somewhere. hahaha

ReplyDeleteHi I realize this is a July post but I too bought this color way back a few months ago at Walmart for about the same price and just got around using it. I agree it is completely matte...not a drop of shine anywhere and it dries very very fast. Loving the color !
ReplyDeleteI am disappointed! Mine turned out to be semi-matte, when I was hoping it would be completely matte like yours. I think it definitely looks better matte.
ReplyDeleteThanks a bummer!! If you have a matte topcoat you might be able to get the same look, but in my experience matte polishes actually have a totally different finish that when using a topcoat like Essie Matte About You (which is probably the best matte topcoat I've tried). My Savage was almost chalkboard like.
